From one sentence to a hired contractor. Here is every step, what we ask for, and what we never ask for.
You do not need construction vocabulary. Write it the way you would say it to a friend: my kitchen sink leaks and the cabinet underneath feels soft. That is enough to start. You can type it or press the microphone and speak.
Plain description works better than technical language here, because a description of the symptom tells a contractor more than a guess at the cause. If you say you need a new P-trap, you get a quote for a P-trap. If you say the cabinet floor is soft, someone will check for a slow leak behind the wall.
Our AI turns your description into a properly scoped project: what the work is likely to involve, what a contractor should assess when they visit, and which questions you should expect to be asked. This is free and does not commit you to anything.
The write-up is a starting scope, not a diagnosis. It cannot see behind your wall. Its job is to make sure everyone quoting is quoting on the same thing.
Nothing goes out until you say so. Read the write-up, change anything that is not right, add photos or measurements, and only then submit it. If the AI has misunderstood, this is where you fix it, and fixing it here saves you three site visits later.
This is the step people skip and later regret. Five minutes spent correcting the scope is worth more than any amount of haggling over price afterwards.
Contractors who serve your area and your trade receive the project. Each one responds with a quote that has the same four parts: price, exclusions, message, and timeline.
The exclusions field is the one that saves people money. A quote that says what it does not cover is a quote you can actually compare. When one bid is two thousand dollars cheaper and its exclusions list is three lines longer, you have learned something important.
You compare the quotes side by side and pick the one you want. Your street address and full contact details are only shared at this point, when you have decided to engage a specific pro. Until then, contractors see the project and the general area, not you.
Searching is free and always will be. There is no credit card at any stage, for any homeowner feature.
For homeowners, nothing. Not to search, not to post, not to receive quotes, not to leave a review.
Contractors pay for a membership, and that membership is what lets them submit quotes. We do not take a percentage of your project and we do not mark up anyone's price.
One sentence is enough to start. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
